
First of all, Bachelor of Information Technology(BIT) is one of the demanding and popular courses. The course will equip students with the technical skills and knowledge to succeed in this expanding and diverse industry. Students will get exposed to practical experience in the field of information technology that can apply technical skills to solve problems, support innovation, and improve communication between people. In the context of Nepal, Bachelor of Information Technology is offered by two Universities - Tribhuvan University and Purbanchal University. In Tribhuvan University the BIT course came 3 years ago and since then it has been a popular choice among the tech loving students. Currently, only seven constituent colleges run the program under TU.
In addition to the foundation and core Information Technology courses, Bachelors in Information Technology (BIT) offers several elective courses to meet the undergraduate academic program requirement and to fulfill the demand for the development and implementation of new technology.

The main objective of the BIT program of Tribhuvan University is to provide students intensive knowledge and skill to design. develop, and use information technology in different areas. It is envisaged that graduates of this program will be equipped with the necessary knowledge of Information Technology to compete in this global world.

Birendra Multiple Campus was founded in 2022 B.S. and is located in the beautiful and peaceful premises at Bharatpur in Chitwan. It offers 18 different programs of Bachelors and Masters level including the BIT program. The physical infrastructure of the campus is expanded into 19 Bighas of land with different buildings. Apart from the land and buildings, the college is also occupied by a canteen, cycle stand, Science lab, Computer Lab, Geography Lab, and library.
Mahendra Multiple Campus, Nepalgunj is one of the oldest and biggest educational institutions of the Mid-western development region of Nepal. It was established as Narayan Inter College in 2014 and was named Mahendra Degree College in 2018 for the purpose of a quality-based higher education program in the Mid-western and Far-western regions of Nepal. It was established as Mahendra Multiple Campus in 2028 when the New Education Planning launched.
Mahendra Multiple Campus offers B.Sc. CSIT, BA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed., LLB, BPA, B.Sc General, MA English, MA Nepali, MA Rural Development, and MBS programs along with BIT program.
Mahendra Morang Adarsha Multiple Campus, established in 2012 B.S. is one of the largest constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University in the eastern area. It offers B.Sc CSIT, BA, BBA, BBM, BBS, BCA, B.Ed., BPA, B.Sc General, BSW, BIT, M.Sc Physics, MA English, MBS, MPA, and M.Sc Chemistry programs.
Patan Multiple Campus was established on 2011 B.S. (1954) before the birth of Tribhuvan University. 'Patan Multiple College' in 1973 entered as constituent campus of Tribhuvan University in named Patan Multiple Campus.
Patan Multiple Campus is one of the most popular constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University. It occupies about 27,296 sqm area. The campus is situated at Patan Dhoka, Lalitpur of Nepal. It offers 15 different courses of Bachelor’s and Master’s level.
Shree Siddhanath Science Campus, established in 2033 BS in Mahendra Nagar, is a community-based campus affiliated with Tribhuvan University. Hence, it is completely supported and managed by the community.
It is offering B.Sc CSIT, B.Sc Physics, BSc. Chemistry, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Sc Biology, & B.Sc Mathematics programs in Bachelor's level and M.Sc in Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, & M.Sc Mathematics programs in Master's level.
Bachelor in Information Technology (BIT) is starting from the academic year 2077/78 at Amrit Science Campus (ASCOL). The Campus is situated at Thamel, Kathmandu. Some of the finest technical manpower, who are now involved in different development activities both at home and abroad, were students of Amrit Campus. The Campus is a semi-autonomous institution under the Institute of Science and Technology with partial decentralization, affiliated with Tribhuvan University.
Bachelor in Information Technology (BIT) is starting from the academic year 2077/78 at Bhaktapur Multiple Campus. The Campus was established in the year 2016 B.S. with a mission to serve Bhaktapur with the best quality education that can be afforded especially by local people and others, contributing to the field of education. and other than BIT, it offers BBS, BA, and B.Sc.CSIT in Bachelors level and MBS, MA in Rural Development and MA in Nepali in Masters level.
To study this program students have to complete twelve years of schooling from any board recognized by TU or must have C grade or 2.0 CGPA or CTEVT Diploma all three years with Mathematics, and must have passed all the subject with C grade or CGPA 2.0. Tribhuvan University will conduct the entrance exam for admission and students must fill out forms and submit before the entrance exam. The forms must have student’s vital information such as scanned copy of bank voucher, MRP standard photo, SLC/SEE Mark sheets, and Academic transcripts of Plus2 and School Leaving Certificate exams. After that, the College will take a personal interview for those who students who have passed the entrance exam and then hand the offer letter which must be filled and submitted to Administration department of the concerned College for successful enrolment.
